Rollo Reece May (April 21, 1909 - October 22, 1994) was an American existential psychologist. He was the author of the influential book Love and Will, and is often associated with both humanistic psychology and existentialist philosophy. He was a major proponent of "existential psychotherapy," which seeks to analyze the structure of human existence with the aim of understanding the reality underlying all situations of humans in crises.
